How big does it get?
Up to about 2.5 metres. It is the largest rat snake we normally stock, so space is the real cost.
Does it bite?
Juveniles are nippy and it is very food-driven, so use a hook at feeding time. Regular handling calms most of them.
What does it eat?
Rodents, and it is a hearty feeder. Roughly one appropriate meal a week for an adult.
What do I need for it?
A long enclosure with strong climbing branches and a lid that locks. This species tests every gap.
