Is it easy for a beginner?
One of the easiest medium lizards. It is tough, eats anything and calms down quickly with regular handling.
How big does it get?
About 40 to 50 cm including the tail.
What does it eat?
Insects, some greens and fruit, and the occasional pinky mouse. It is an omnivore, so mix it up.
Does it dig?
Constantly. Give deep substrate and sit the hides on the floor of the enclosure so nothing collapses on it.
