Why

How big does this actually get?
This is the longest snake in the world. A mainland female can pass five metres and needs a custom-built enclosure, not a shop tank.
Be honest with me, is it dangerous?
Yes. A full-grown one is strong enough to seriously injure or kill an adult person, so it must never be handled alone and never around children.
Are the dwarf ones really smaller?
Yes, the island dwarf and super dwarf lines stay considerably shorter, and that is what we recommend for anyone keeping one at home. They are still powerful snakes.
What does it cost to feed?
Hatchlings are cheap, but an adult eats large rodents or rabbits and can easily run over a thousand baht a month. Plan for the adult, not the baby.
