Common questions

Can I handle it?

Not much. It is fast, it jumps, and the skin tears easily if you grip it, so it is best kept as a display animal.

Does it bite?

It can nip if cornered and the grip is decent for a gecko this size, but it will not do real damage.

Is it noisy?

Males call at night in a series of chirps. Much quieter than a tokay, but not silent.

Can I keep two together?

One male with one or two females works in a tall planted tank, but two males will fight.
